Foreign troops detain civilians in Logar

May 09, 2011 - 19:40

PUL-I-ALAM (PANinfo-icon): Foreign troops detained four civilians during an operation in the central province of Logar, an official said on Monday.

The men were arrested on Sunday night in Barak-i-Barak district, the district chief, Mohammad Rahim Amin, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said the detainees had no criminal record and were locals.

Nasrullah, a tribal elder, said foreign troops raided two houses overnight in the area and arrested a man and his son from one house and two others men from another.

He insisted the detainees were residents and had no relations with any insurgent group.
