CHARIKARinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): Two people were killed and three others injured in road accidents in the central province of Parwan on Monday, officials said.

In one incident, a truck flipped over in the Barikab area of Bagram district, a traffic police officer, Mohammad Younus Pardesi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

"The overloaded vehicle veered off the road due to rash driving," said a resident of the area, Najib, 32. Only the driver was killed in the accident.

Separately, one passenger was killed and two others were injured when a car went out of control in the Pul-i-Matak area of the same district on Sunday evening.

The victims met the accident on their way from Gorband to Kabulinfo-icon, Pardesi said, adding the driver fled the scene.

"The driver could not control his car when he reached a roundabout," witness Jawad said.

Elsewhere in the province, a man was seriously injured when a car collided with a truck in the Pushta Surkh area of Jabalus Saraj district.
