Protestors demand public execution of killers

Protestors demand public execution of killers

Sep 21, 2014 - 20:27

AIBAK (Pajhwok): A large number of people, including religious scholars, on Sunday staged a protest rally in the capital city of Samangan province, asking the government to publicly execute the killers of a child and his mother.

The two-year old, Mohammad Usman, and his mother were found dead last week in their house in the Karti Sulha township of Aibak.

On September 16, police had arrested two suspects Hasamuddin and Atiqullah in connection with the double murder.

The protestors condemned the killing of the innocent child and his mother and demanded a fair trial and harsher punishment for the killers.

Abdul Sattar Haq Nisar, one of the protestors, praised security forces for arresting the two accused.

He urged the judicial organs to award the murders punishment under criminal laws.
