Taliban kidnap 10 laborers in Kandahar

KANDAHAR (Pajhwok): Ten laborers have been abducted by Talibaninfo-icon militants in Takhta Pul district of southern Kandahar province, an official said on Tuesday.

The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told Pajhwok Afghan News the workers were constructing a school’s wall in Lowar Mil village when they were kidnapped by militants on Monday night.

Samim Khplwak, the governor’s spokesman, expressed unawareness about the incident but security forces would investigate.

The Taliban have not yet commented about the incident.

Takhta Pul is situated along the Spin-Boldak-Kandahar highway 45km from Kandahar city.
