KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Abdullah Abdullah on Monday said no terrorist group was born in Afghanistaninfo-icon, as all such outfits, including Talibaninfo-icon and Daesh, came from outside the country.

The victims of attacks by these groups wereunfortunately Afghans, Abdullah told a cabinet meeting here. “Other terrorist groups have been carrying out activities in Afghanistanin collusion with Taliban.”

He said Afghanistanhad been following a pro-peace policy. “We appreciate the great work being done by our security forcesto crush Daesh.”He hailed the elimination of QariMunib, a Daesh commander, as an achievement.

Abdullah added the Afghan government had never used terrorism as a tool of its foreign policy. He insisted Kabul always desired having friendly relations with Islamabad. For this purpose, the security forces had been ordered to avoid cross-border tensions.

He also referred to a string of recent deadly attacks in the neighbouring country, saying: “The terrorist incidents in Pakistaninfo-icon are worrying for us; we share the grief of the victims.”

However, the CEO called the Pakistani accusations as baseless. The Afghan government wanted all to join hands and come together in defending the country’s territorialintegrity, he concluded.
