Jul 20, 2017 - 15:40

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Six people, including two security guards of the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mohammad Mohaqiq, have been arrested in connection with the killing of a bride in capital Kabul, police said on Thursday.

Kabul police chief Lt. Gen. Mohammad Salem Ihsas told reporters here that two AK-47 assault rifles and one pistol had been recovered from the detainees.

He said cases of two Mohaqiq’s guards and four other suspects had been referred to the Attorney General Officer (AGO) for further investigation.

On Tuesday night, two people, including a bride, were killed and as many injured in celebratory gunfire in the third police district of Kabul

Basir Mujahid, a spokesman for the 101st Asmaee Zone, said the security guards of Mohaqiq opened joy fire as the wedding entered Ahl-i-Bait Street.

Mohaqiq’s office, however, rejected the allegation and said the wedding party directed gun shots at the deputy CEO office.
