TALOQAN (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot dead the intelligence chief for the Warsaj district of northeastern Takhar province, officials said on Wednesday.

Police spokesman Maj. Abdul Khalil Aseer told Pajhwok Afghan News that the intelligence officer, Ghulam Rabbani, was gunned down in front of his house in Trasht area on Tuesday night.

Warsage district chief Abdul Rashad said two accused had been arrested in connection with the murder. However he said Rabbani was killed due to personal enmity.
