Kabul, Islamabad & Beijing to boost uplift cooperation

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Afghanistaninfo-icon, Pakistaninfo-icon and China have identified specific projects of practical trilateral cooperation, agreeing to enhance coordination on their implementation.

Objectives, principles, areas of trilateral cooperation came up for discussion at second China-Afghanistan-Pakistan (CAP) Practical Cooperation Dialogue, the Foreign Office in Islamabad said.

Meeting in Kabul on September 26 and 27, the participants agreed to support the peaceful reconstructioninfo-icon and economic development of Afghanistan, and FO statement said.

The diplomats vowed to further strengthen relations and to promote cooperation among the three countries within the frameworks of "Belt and Road" and the Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA).

The dialogue was chaired by Mr. Mustafa Aria, director general of development cooperation from Afghanistan's Ministry of Finance.

It was attended by Xiao Qian, director general of the Asian Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, and . Mansoor Ahmad Khan.

Dr. Nasir Ahmad Andisha, deputy foreign minister of Afghanistan, met heads of the three delegations, which vowed to gradually strengthen the mechanism for trilateral cooperation and provide security for trilateral projects.

The three sides agreed that policy communication, infrastructure, human resources, livelihood building and people-to-people exchanges are the five key cooperation fields, and will steadily promote concrete cooperation.
