Mohaqiq all praises for Iranian general, Afghans sent to Syrian war

Nov 26, 2017 - 11:59

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Deputy Chief Executive Officer Haji Mohammad Mohaqiq visited Tehran where he praised the fighters, including Afghans for their victories in Syria’s war.

Mohaqiq thanked the fighters, including Afghans, for their victories in the Syrian war, while addressing a gathering ‘Moheban Ahlebait’.

“I thank all the warriors who cooperated in these wars from Iraq, Syria, Afghanistaninfo-icon, Pakistaninfo-icon and other parts of the worldinfo-icon who attended the wars. In fact it was the war of Islam against infidelity and against the conspiracies of the world arrogance.”

The role of our dear brother Qasem Soleimani and Mr. Hassan Nasrullah was very prominent, he said at the gathering.

Soleimani is one of the founders of Fatimiyun Brigade in Syria and he has encouraged Afghan refugees in Iran to take part in this war. Mohaqiq meanwhile said over 10,000 Daesh fighters were in Afghanistan and that the militants are trying to destroy the country and other nations.

“The northern part of Afghanistan once a secure area has now become destabilise after the incursion of Daesh,” Mohaqiq said.”

Mohaqiq also said if the northern parts of Afghanistan become insecure, threats to Central Asia would increase, therefore, he said the regional countries should cooperate with each other to deal with the situation.

Mohaqiq’s praises for Afghan who fought in Syria came at a time when Afghan government has in the past repeatedly criticised the government of Iran over sending Afghans to Syria for fight. Recently the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported to investigate the issue.

Mohaqiq’s remarks sparked anger over social media.

Journalist Haroon Jajafizada tweeted “Wonder at what capacity deputy executive officer was speaking when he paid gratitude to Gen. Solaimani and tanked Fatimyun Brigade Afghan fighters involved in Syria’s war.

Another social media user Qadir Sediqi tweeted as well “Mohaqqiq is deliberately inviting Daesh and brining another proxy war to Afghanistan.”
